Our microbiology media test kits allow for the detection and quantification of problematic microorganisms in your system.

Intertek Capcis

Intertek’s microbiology media test kits are widely used across multiple industries, such as Oil and Gas, as organisations seek to conduct in-house microbiological testing of process fluids or wastewaters. The simplicity, versatility and robustness of these media kits allow internal testing of waters and other fluids on a regular occurrence. This testing can be performed on a small or large scale and can help reduce testing timeframes and costs.

The media test kit allows the user to perform the most probable number (MPN) method, to detect and quantify the microorganisms responsible for general microfouling, biofilm formation, microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC), chemical depletion and other problematic issues. See our MPN Factsheet below.

Intertek has years of experience in manufacturing a wide range of proven formulations to meet various scenarios to offer what is probably the most comprehensive range from a single supply source. Our test media can be made to any salinity level you require. Stock salinities include freshwater, seawater, produced water, brine and high brine.

We can also provide a range of accompanying testing consumables to meet requirements, including diluents, fuel testing dipslides, Sidestream units, sampling bottles, and many other items; see our Media and Consumables flyer below.
